After clearing the FCC, the upcoming ZTE Axon M (Z999) has just been certified by the Wi-Fi alliance. Sadly the only thing we’ve learnt from the certification is that the phone is edging closer, that it supports dual-band Wi-Fi and that it runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat – not Oreo.
The ZTE Axon M – M likely standing for Multi – will feature a foldable design with two screens that unfold to make one huge display.
The ZTE Axon M could house a Snapdragon 821 chipset with 4GB of RAM, according to a Geekbench leak.
We expect it to arrive sometime this month (October 17, tomorrow, if latest reports are to believed) and that it will be exclusive to AT&T.
